One of the hardest gigs I have had is photographing my own children. I
find that unlike other peoples children who stare at me with a stone
face or cry like a banshie, my children ignore that I am trying to snap a
few shots.
I think the fact that I have been in their faces with
cameras since the day they were born and now they just think it's an
extension of my nose.
Despite their reluctance to smile big and pose, I did get a few good shots that show their true personalities! Hayden (3) is much more receptive to my requests for smiles and eye contact than Wyatt (1.5), but they did okay!
